
Michele Boerder is a paralegal with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Dallas, Texas with 37 years of experience, primarily in civil litigation. She is a Board Certified Paralegal in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a Certified Paralegal (NALA). She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of North Texas and obtained her paralegal certificate from El Centro College. Currently she is an instructor in the SMU Paralegal Certificate Program.
Michele is a past-President of the Dallas Area Paralegal Association (“DAPA”) and of the Paralegal Division – State Bar of Texas. It was in DAPA and State Bar activities that she first met Wendi, as well as served with her in many paralegal functions, however they were then in a mediation class together at UNT. Wendi and Michele were both Ambassadors for the Paralegal Division.
Michele had the honor of following Wendi in receipt of the William R. Robie Leadership Award from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (2005). Michele also received NFPA’s Paralegal of the Year award in 2005, the similar award from DAPA in 1995, and the “Michele M. Boerder Lifetime Achievement Award” from DAPA in 2006.
She is also on the NFPA Certification Committee (serving since 1996) and the Editorial Advisory Board of Paralegal Today magazine, and worked on the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Committee for 17 years.
